Nepal meets Indian PM Singh

June 05 2007 - The visiting CPN-UML team headed by General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal on Tuesday met Indian Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Sigh at the latter's official residence in New Delhi's 7 Race Course Road.
The meeting, which began from 11 this morning, was attended by UML leaders KP Oli and Bharat Mohan Adhikary as well.

The meeting discussed bilateral issues, the ongoing peace process, economic and political assistance, among others.

General Secretary Nepal is also set to meet Indian Communist Party leader AB Barjan, Janata Dal United chairman Sharad Yadav, Indian Congress Party General Secretary Prakash Karat and Indian Foreign Secretary Shiva Shanker Menon, sources said.

A meeting between Nepal and Indian Foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee has been scheduled for Wednesday.

According to UML standing committee member Amrit Bohara, central leaders including KP Oli and Bharat Mohan Adhikary had left for the Indian capital yesterday after the meeting of the south-eastern Members of Parliament in Shimla.
